Kodak Tri-X Reversal Film is a high-speed panchromatic black-and-white film designed for reversal processing for direct projection and duplication. It features an anti-halation undercoating that benefits working in low-light and indoor conditions; however, it is also suitable for outdoor applications. Tri-X Reversal is also characterized by a fine grain structure and wide tonal range with smooth gradations between values. I love this stuff. Very fine grain especially for a 200 ISO speed film (daylight without filter) and 160 ISO (with filter). Compatible with all 16mm or Super-16 cameras capable of 100′ loads.
This is also a great film to process yourself at home, either as a reversal for projection or a negative. I have had excellent results using Substitute D-19 developer from Photographer’s Formulary and a simple permanganate bleach, or use Kodak’s recommended D-94.
